Greensboro Wedding Photography - Amber and Tim

W
hat a great time Lindsey and I had at Tim and Amber’s wedding. I left early Saturday morning and met Tim and the groomsmen at the golf course. They wanted a few photos and it was nice to get on the course and watch them play. After about an hour I left to meet Lindsey and we both went to the salon to photograph the girls. Think about it... from 100% testosterone to 100% estrogen all in a matter of minutes. Hey, it’s what we do! The wedding was very nice, spiritual with a very personal touch, a real reflection on the lives of Tim and Amber. In spite of our marathon training schedule Lindsey and I may have gained an extra pound from one to many “meetings” at the most awesome desert bar ever!

Greensboro Wedding Photography - Becca and Jeff

J
ust as the wedding preparations began, a gentle rain began to fall from the sky. Sometimes rain on a wedding day can cause a little stress but not for Becca and Jeff ... their eyes were on each other and not the sky. Weddings are filled with superstitions ... the groom isn't supposed to see the bride on the wedding day, the garter, the veil, something borrowed something blue, and throwing rice just to name a few. It's interesting to look at superstitions to see why they are what they are. Let's take rain for example; did you know that rain on your wedding day is supposed to bring good luck? It's origin can be tracked back to several different cultures. Marriage is often referred to as "tying the knot". The belief is that a wet knot is much harder to untie than a dry knot. Rain is also associated with fertility since it restores and maintains crops. So... if you happen to be a little superstitious then a little rain on your wedding day isn't all that bad. Thank you Jeff and Becca for a wonderful day and I pray that your knot will be tightly tied and, if you want a house full of children that you will be fruitful and multiply.

NC Wedding Photography ~ Candice & Jordan

I
really enjoy outdoor weddings but on a day like this past Saturday, when the temps are in the mid 90's, there's nothing better than working in a nice cool facility. Lindsey and I worked mostly inside, photographing things as they naturally happened. When the ceremony ended and the evening shadows began to lengthen we were able to move outside for a bit. Jordan and Candice were wonderful to photograph and their wedding was simply beautiful. When the festivities ended and the newlyweds left the premises, Lindsey and I sat in the car and opened an orange Gatorade. It was so good... I had a double!

Childress Vineyards Wedding Photography _Julie and Justin

ou would be hard pressed to pick a more beautiful day for a wedding at Childress Vineyards. People were sitting outside under the warm May sun sipping their wine and listening to the band softly playing oldies but goodies. It's so nice to see people relaxing. Lindsey and I listened for a short while and then decided to make our way upstairs to visit the bride. After a few introductions we went to work. The day went beautifully without a hitch. When the celebration ended at twelve o'clock, it felt as if we had just started. Time really does fly when your having fun! Congratulations to Julie and Justin for such a wonderful day.

Wedding Photography - Tyler and Bryson

W
hether the weather be cold or whether the weather be hot, we weather the weather whatever the weather, whether we like it or not. It's a fact, we have no control over the weather. I really wanted this past Saturday to be perfect ... one reason being I had strongly recommended Uwharrie Point for Tyler and Bryson's outdoor wedding. I really enjoy photographing weddings there. For some reasonUwharrie Point has a soothing effect on people. Someone told me it is the serenity of the water, that may be true. All the weddings I've photographed at Uwharrie Point have had a "laid back" feel to them. When Lindsey and I arrived on location, we found Tyler in a cheerful mood (which is not unusual for her). We all decided that the wedding would be beautiful no matter what the weather had in store. The clouds were ominous and rain appeared imminent until about an hour or two before the wedding. Then suddenly, as if the clouds were called to duty elsewhere; they fled the afternoon sky, leaving us the most beautiful day anyone could ever desire.
